Corrosion
protection coatings when properly applied to coils and cabinets
are a cost effective method to extend the life of the cooling
system and preserve the owner's investment.
Marc
Urethane Protection Coating has a proven track record
of more than 25 years providing superior corrosion protection
in industrial and marine environments and are resistant to
many acids, solvents, salts, and other contaminants.
Unlike
brittle dip-and-bake phenolic coil coatings, the Marc Urethane
Protection Coating is tough, flexible, and provides additional
protection to the fin edges. And unlike spray-in-place coatings,
Marc’s saturating flow-coating system assures full, penetrating
coverage of the interior sections of the coil.
Refrigerant
System Coating - Specify a Refrigerant System Coating
- not just the coils. When the Marc Urethane Protection
Coating is specified with our air conditioners, the coating
is applied to the evaporator and condenser coils, compressor(s),
and all interconnecting copper tubing, and not just the coils
alone as from specialty applicators. This ensures the most
vulnerable parts of the system, including the tubing soldered
joints, are protected as well.
Complete
Unit Coating - For maximum protection specify a Complete
Unit Coating for the air conditioner. For
extreme conditions the entire air conditioner should be completly
coated with the Marc Urethane Protection Coating. In
this case, the entire refrigerant system, the cabinet, inside
and out, and all of the components in the air conditioner
are prepared and coated individually prior to assembly in
accordance with the Marc Urethane Protection Coating
Procedure. To complete the system, the coated
air conditioner is assembled with stainless steel fasteners.

Adsil
MicroGuard® - Marc is a licensed installer of the
Adsil MicroGuard® HVAC/R inorganic protective treatment system.
The Adsil coating is designed to resist the corrosive effects
of salt laden coastal air and industrial acidic environments,
and inhibits mold and mildew growth.
Adsil
may be applied to copper and aluminum coils, exterior painted
cabinet surfaces, and other components inside the air conditioner.
Typically the Adsil cabinet coating is clear, revealing the
original color, and leaves a glossy sheen. For the coils,
a blue tint is added to the Adsil coating product so as to
make it more discernable. Recommended dry film thickness for
the coils is 6-8 microns.
Marc
applies the Adsil coating in our controlled corrosion coating
facilities and treats the coils with our flow-coating process.
Adsil
MicroGuard® has been tested to ASTM B 117 Salt Chamber Testing
and has performed in excess of 6,000 hours. Also tested to
ASTM G 21 Fungal Growth, Adsil showed no spore growth.
