Mini-split
air conditioners are small systems that are many
times used in small offshore buildings with fire-rated walls.
Using the split system eliminates the need for fire dampers
associated with the air conditioning unit. Other applications
include analyzer shelters and small buildings in refineries
and petrochemical plants.
CSA
(C/US) Certified for Class I, Division 2,
Groups B, C, D hazardous (Classified) locations,
mini-split air conditioners and heat pumps are available in
sizes up to 3 tons and with various fan-coil configurations
including high wall and ceiling mount styles.
All units may also be marked with the US and Canadian
Class I/ Zone system upon request (example: Class
I, Zone 2, group IIB+H2).
The
E-series is available with a dual-circuited
design such that two air handlers may operate from a single
condensing unit. This will allow cooling in two separate
rooms or the installation of an air handler at each end of
a single room.
Division
1 units are available and certified by Marc Climatic
Controls to be in accordance with applicable UL and CSA standards.
